Curriculum Vitae
B.A. in Psychology and History, Vanderbilt University, 2010.
M.S. in Psychology, University of Oregon, 2011.
Bill is a fourth year doctoral student primarily interested in how military service members cope with combat stress and improving the process of reintegration into civilian life after deployment. He is also interested in how group identification may play a role in both these issues. Bill finished his Master’s thesis in Fall 2011, which examined social support, combat stress, and emotionality in veterans’ recollections of their military experiences. He is currently researching the delineation between PTSD- and TBI-related symptoms post-combat. In the future, Bill hopes to help reduce combat-related mental health issues through both research and therapy.
